Serengeti National Park is a place of endless discovery, where each visit brings new sights, sounds, and memories. It’s a world of wildlife and history, where adventure awaits at every turn.

Best Time To Visit

Home to Africa’s largest game concentrations and the mesmerizing wildebeest migration, it’s a living example of nature’s majesty.

Wildlife viewing in Serengeti National Park is impressive year-round, but the best times vary depending on what you want to see. To witness the wildebeest calving, visit from January to February in the Ndutu area.To see the wildebeest migration, plan for June and July in the Western Corridor or August and September in the north for dramatic Mara River crossings.

The dry season from June to October offers excellent wildlife viewing as animals congregate around water sources, and the vegetation is sparser, making spotting easier.Conversely, the wet season from November to May brings lush landscapes and vibrant birdlife, with fewer tourists and potentially lower rates.

Wildlife

Serengeti National Park is the ultimate place for an African safari. Picture huge open spaces filled with large groups of animals. It’s easy to spot lions here, and you might even see a cheetah racing at full speed, which is an amazing sight! Leopards are a bit harder to find, but you could spot one lounging in a tree near the Seronera River.

The park is famous for the incredible wildebeest migration, where over a million wildebeest, along with hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, roam across the plains looking for new grass to eat. This huge movement also attracts lots of predators, like lions and hyenas, who follow the herds, making for some really exciting wildlife watching.
