How to apply for a Kenya Visa?
Travelling to Kenya opens doors to some of Africa’s most iconic landscapes and wildlife experiences. Securing a Kenya Visa is an essential part of planning your travel. The process is straightforward, with options to apply online or upon arrival.
Here, we’ll guide you through the steps and requirements to ensure your paperwork is in order, letting you concentrate on the excitement of your upcoming Kenyan Safari adventure.

Online Visa Application
Ease into your Kenyan exploration with a simple visa process, ensuring your adventure starts smoothly from the moment you arrive.
Visa on Arrival
For those who prefer or require more flexibility, Kenya also offers a visa upon arrival. This option is useful for travellers making last-minute decisions or those from countries that might face restrictions online.
Arrival Application Process:
- Complete an application form at designated visa counters at the airport.
- Pay the visa fee in USD or EUR, using cash or credit card. Exact change is recommended to ease the process.
- After payment, proceed to the next counter for visa stamping in your passport before heading to baggage claim.
While convenient, the visa-on-arrival process might involve waiting in queues, especially during peak travel times.
Choosing Your Application Method
Whether you opt for the online application for its convenience or the flexibility of applying upon arrival, both methods are designed to accommodate diverse traveller needs.
- If applying online, ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date and have all necessary documents prepared.
- If applying upon arrival, keep the required fee in the correct currency and form to avoid any issues with payment.
By understanding the above steps and requirements, you can navigate the Kenya visa process with ease, ensuring a smooth start to your visit to this enchanting country.
NOTE
Please note that Kenya has transitioned from the e-Visa system to the electronic Travel
